Product Details

Featuring the 15 Bezants found on the arms of the county and duchy of Cornwall. These are set upon a bronze-age sword inspired by artefacts from the St Erth hoards, now held by the Royal Cornwall Museum. King Arthur has long been associated with Cornwall, especially the sea-girt fortress of Tintagel. Some have wondered if the legend of the Sword in the Stone might be a garbled memory of when swords were cast in bronze (many centuries before Arthur) from stone moulds.

Measured 88mm long and 27mm wide. Plain pewter finish - entirely cast and finished in our Glasgow workshops.
